STORE PROJECT MANAGEMENT
STORE PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Over time, my role in Foot Locker store openings evolved from local launches to overseeing flagship-level projects. This progression reflected the scale of the projects I was trusted to lead and my track record of successful delivery.
The role became increasingly strategic, working closely with internal teams, external partners and stakeholders to ensure each opening was delivered seamlessly and aligned with the wider brand vision.
This approach enabled me to deliver both local and flagship openings with a strong balance of creative vision, commercial priorities and operational execution, while strengthening collaboration across teams and partners.
GLOBAL STORE OPENINGS
& FRANCHISE PARTNERS
In early 2019, following the success of the European store opening programme, I was entrusted with project managing the Visual Merchandising requirements for Foot Locker’s expansion into Asia Pacific (APAC).
The role covered store planning, vendor alignment, VM execution, staff training and brand marketing across key markets including Singapore, Hong Kong and Malaysia.
I took a hands-on role across seven store openings, including three locations in Singapore, Foot Locker’s flagship in Hong Kong’s Kowloon district and two stores in Malaysia.
I oversaw the VM setup and merchandising of each location, ensuring consistency with global brand standards while adapting to local requirements. Following each opening, I remained on-site to deliver additional training for store and business teams, supporting the ongoing execution of VM and operational standards.
By the end of 2019, I became the primary EHQ contact for VM across Foot Locker’s franchise partners, managing VM requests, planning and brand alignment for Alshaya Group in the UAE and Fox Group in Israel.
In early 2020, I co-managed the opening of Foot Locker’s flagship store in Dubai Mall, further expanding my experience across high-profile international retail projects.
With global travel restrictions beginning in Q1 2020, my role shifted to providing VM support remotely across international markets. I continued to guide store openings, projects and local teams, maintaining global brand consistency and execution standards without being physically on-site.
This period significantly broadened my international experience, strengthening my ability to work across different markets, cultures and business models, while adapting quickly to changing circumstances and maintaining a consistent global VM vision.
STORE LAUNCH & TEASER VIDEO
In 2018, I identified an opportunity to use social content to build excitement around Foot Locker’s high-profile store openings across Europe.
I developed and led a store opening video initiative, initially filming and editing content in-house for the Brand Marketing team to use across social channels. For key flagship launches, I also worked with external production partners to deliver additional filming and visual effects.
The initial approach was a launch-day video, but following strong engagement from both social audiences and internal teams, I expanded the concept to include pre-opening sneak peeks and behind-the-scenes content. This gave customers a view of the store coming to life and helped build anticipation ahead of opening day.
The initiative helped increase excitement and customer turnout around new store launches, while creating a stronger connection between Visual Merchandising, retail experience and digital storytelling.
