During my time at All Saints, I immersed myself in the intricacies of high-end fashion styling, storytelling, and showcasing the finer details of the brand’s collections. My core responsibilities included training and developing in-store Visual Merchandisers (VMs) and store teams, as well as implementing standard checklists to ensure VM standards were consistently maintained across all regional stores.
Weekly Operations and Communication:
I conducted weekly check-ins with in-store visual leads and store management, which involved submitting detailed recaps, photographs, and logs of opportunities. This process facilitated clear and consistent communication between the field team and the corporate office, ensuring that all needs, opportunities, and successes were effectively addressed and celebrated.
Monthly Styling and Training Sessions:
A key aspect of my role was leading monthly styling and training sessions at All Saints’ Brick Lane flagship store. These sessions brought together the Head Office (HO) VM team and all UK VMs to refine styling techniques and align on brand standards. Following each session, I was responsible for photographing every display setup. These images were then used by the design team to create lookbooks, which served as styling and merchandising guides for company-wide rollouts.
Seasonal Campaign Photo Shoots:
After a year of excelling in my role, I was invited to participate in on-location seasonal campaign photo shoots with the creative design team. This opportunity allowed me to contribute to the styling of models and mannequins, further deepening my understanding of the brand’s aesthetic and storytelling.
This experience at All Saints not only honed my skills in high-end fashion styling and visual merchandising but also reinforced my ability to deliver consistent, elevated brand experiences across all touchpoints.
A defining moment in my career at All Saints came when I was selected by the Head of Visual Merchandising (VM) to be one of six employees seconded to Toronto, Canada, to open the brand’s first store in the Canadian market. This project represented a significant milestone, both for the company and for my professional growth.
Store Setup and Design:
Working closely with the selected team, I played a key role in setting up and building the store. This involved analyzing customer flow, optimizing critical sightlines, planning staff zoning, and conducting competitor analysis to ensure the store’s layout was both functional and aligned with All Saints’ premium brand identity. These considerations were integral to creating a seamless and engaging shopping experience for customers.
Training and Development:
In addition to the physical setup, I collaborated with the VM and Operations teams to develop and deliver a comprehensive training program for all sales associates. This program covered fundamental VM standards, ensuring consistency across the store’s visual presentation. I also trained the five in-store Visual Merchandisers and provided advanced VM instruction to all staff members and managers, equipping them with the skills to uphold the brand’s aesthetic and operational excellence.
This experience not only showcased my ability to lead and execute high-impact projects but also reinforced my expertise in visual merchandising, training, and store design. The successful launch of All Saints’ first Canadian store was a testament to the team’s dedication and my commitment to delivering exceptional results.
